Sz\u00e1rsomly\u00f3 Mountain&#8217;s abandoned quarry has been home to sculptors from 1967 whose desire to experiment went far beyond the possibilities of public sculpture at the time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The sculpture park, located at an altitude of 180 meters above sea level, was established in 1968 at the eastern end of the Sz\u00e1rsomly\u00f3 mountain. This special open-air exhibition found its home in a former mine shell on the site of the mine. Outdoor-sized sculptures made from the rocks of the mountain occupy this special place. Jurassic limestone is the raw material for the sculptures. Domestic and foreign sculptors can create their works from the stones of the mountain, which can then be exhibited. The artists&#8217; colony and its creative house were set up in Gyim\u00f3thyvilla, which is located 200 meters from the park after a short walk.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The cultural-historical and art-historical importance of the Nagyhars\u00e1ny Sculpture Park lies in the fact that sculptors were given the opportunity to freely experiment here for the first time in Hungary.
